RAD Solutions: QUALITY CONTROL

QUALITY CONTROL

The Quality module within EFACS Enterprise ERP allows business users to record and drive incidents and quality concerns within their organisation's manufacturing processes and wider operations. Use of management stages allows recording and tracking of actions and communications throughout the life-cycle concerned.

Providing close integration with the rest of the EFACS Enterprise system, the quality module links directly with the supplier, works orders, stock, customers and workflow functionality. This integration provides a defined set of quality processes to ensure control is maintained within the business and that the entire life cycle of a quality concern is managed correctly.

Key Features

  • Create a quality concern from purchase order receipts, returns from customers, works orders or business specific miscellaneous actions
  • Quality life cycle is logged in clearly illustrated stages
  • All communications are available from a single tab
  • Affected stock batches easily identified
  • User definable fields to fit your business requirements
  • Vendor performance analysis and reporting tools.

Logging & Assessing

A quality concern can be raised from a purchase order receipt, customer return, works order or a miscellaneous action generated from your internal business processes. Where data links to supplier or customer records, relevant fields will be looked up and pre-populated with essential information, saving input time and ensuring linked accuracy. Recording and logging fields are available for completing key quality concern details such as the source of the problem, where the problem occurred, fault categorisation, level of severity (for vendor performance) and the disposition / outcome.

Full or part batches can be rejected and removed from stock. Where part batches are applicable, only rejected items will be cleared from stock and all affected stock batches can be identified, quarantined, rejected and returned to the supplier from one screen.

Corrective Actions

Each stage of a quality concern can be associated to an ‘owner’ and a set of recipients defined for each stage, who will receive email notifications relating to the stage. When a stage is processed the communications tab will allow access to the quality concern/corrective actions history. This area will display a full list of all communications that have taken place for each quality concern.

Workflow & Communications

Workflow is central to the entire quality process and this element of the software can be used to insert process checks and approval stages into all activities and corrective actions. Workflow is also used to automate emails sent either internally or externally to suppliers or customers for information and tasking purposes. All communications are stored in one central place for easy access, with the ability to view each individually.

Analysis & Vendor Performance

Demerit values can be placed against suppliers for delivery performance and pricing. These demerit values attached to quality concerns are user defined and allow company terminology to be used, with each demerit value level given a numeric weighting for easy and accurate performance reporting. The reporting tools within the module allow resolved quality concerns to be easily and rapidly recorded for output.
